No creature on earth can so vastly alter a man. Just by convincing a dog to be your friend, you increase not only the quality of your life, but the very length of it. We’re healthier just being close to a dog. They absorb our woes, and in return give us love. They take away our pain, our sadness, our strife, and instead give us joy, happiness, and peace.

If there’s one truth to the world, it’s that a man is only able to achieve his true potential when he has a dog.

Lucy, you will be missed. Here’s hoping that the cosmic bunnies light your dreams, and make your ethereal feet twitch as you sleep the sleep you’ve earned.

And Josh… You’ve been a better man for having her.
